Comments:
I really can’t believe how many guys covered their  bulls – and especially for the first riding of the season.
There were 23 rides in the round.

In terms of riders, I was glad to see Pistol Robinson up on the leader board. He’s been doing pretty badly lately.
Also good to see Silvano cover his bull as well as Guilherme.
Disappointed to see the 2011 Rookie of the Year, Rubens Barbosa, get bucked off. Also sad to see J.B. get bucked off, but Deja Blue Emu is a great bull, even though he’s getting up there in years, he can still buck.
In terms of bulls, County Mounty is one to watch. So is Big Spread and Jack in Black.

In terms of riders, great to see the 1/2 split between Pistol and Ryan. Glad to see J.B. cover his bull. Not surprised to see Colby Yates get bucked off. Ever since his Iron Cowboy win, he’s been riding horribly.

Comments:
Congrats to Renato on the 91.50 point ride on Delco. Like I said…definitely a bull to watch.
Congrats to Cody Nance for his event win.
Back Bender, the ABBI 2011 Championship bull bucked pretty well. He’s still young, and I expect big things from him.
Also a great buck-out by King Lopez. Look for great things from him as well.

Injuries:
Pistol Robinson was stepped on by his bull, Carrillo Cartel in round three and is out of competition with a broken right femur and a broken left tibia and has undergone surgery. He is reportedly doing well.
Colby Yates is out of competition due to bruised ribs sustained in NYC.
